How can you help?
Pet Helpers, Inc. is a non-profit rescue group. We charge an adoption fee to help offset vet bills and operating expenses, but it is usually not enough to cover the expense that we invest in a pet. We rely on fund raising events and the generosity of our sponsors to pay the rest. Although we need cash donations to operate, there are many other ways that you can help. We also use a lot of supplies, food, toys, crates to transport the animals, cleaning supplies, etc.
Here are some of the things you can do to help:
Make a monetary donation
When you buy your dog a toy, new collar or leash, a bag or canned food, treats, etc., buy an extra one to donate - every little bit helps!
When buying toys, you can buy inexpensive toys for $1 each at the dollar and discount stores, they don't need to be 3-4 dollar toys!
You can hold a supply drive at your work or school and ask people to bring one item.
You can volunteer your time to help at a fund raising event or adoption event.
You can volunteer to foster a pet in your home. Pet Helpers supplies the vet care, food and supplies. You supply the love and TLC to give the pet a chance at a new, loving home!
You can spread the word about the wonderful pets that we have for adoption. Along with our website, we have a Facebook Page and our pets are also listed on Petfinder. You can find links to both of those on our home page but word of mouth can be some of your best advertisement and is very important to us.
