Amber has helped wif rescuing a few doggies and has also adopted her own dog, Delilah from Pet Helpers! Her father-in-law has also adopted wif Pet Helpers and has Smokey. Smokey has helped him by being patient and being a blessing dat him never could have known was comin! Smokey love to go on walks and car rides! In Amber's words, "Pet Helpers is the best rescue out there!"
Shannon has attempted to be a foster family wif Pet Helpers and sadly, has failed! Or it could be happily has failed since her adopted her only foster child! Shannon started fostering F4 which was one of day 20 puppies living under a truck liner earlier in February dis year. F4 quickly became known as Molly in her house and wifin a week of her arrivals, dey all found in love and her had to be adopted!! Shannon also has 2 ofer rescue dogs, Daisy and Jake!
Tanks to you two ladies for allowing me to shares your story! If you are a volunteer wif Pet Helpers and want to talk to me and be featured in my column, let me know! Directions to the park: ***PLEASE NOTE - construction of the Gateway Connector is ongoing!! From I-79 North in Fairmont, take the Pleasant Valley Exit. Turn right off of the exit. Turn onto Pleasant Valley Road to the left. Follow this road for approximately 1 1/2 miles until you start coming down a long hill. At the bottom of the hill, the road will make a sharp left. In that turn, you want to turn right up the hill (there will be a MCPARC sign). Go to the top of the hill and turn left into the entrance of the park. Proceed into the park and look for Pavilion #5 signs across the parking lot and to the left. Follow that road to the end at the softball field parking lot. On the far left, a road will lead you around and down the hill behind the ball field. You will come to a parking area near the basketball court. The dog park site is to the left with an open area and wooded area.
