Below, board member and foster mom Stephanie reunites Angel with his mom Darlene.

Stephanie and her husband Gary provided a foster home to several of the animals that had to be removed from The Arbors after a fire broke out there in late December. Angel is a very popular cat at the Arbors. Angel's neighbor Margaret has daily visits from Angel and always has a treat for him.  He makes his rounds so he can check in on his friends. Margaret was very happy to see her friend and to know that he was okay and very well taken care of by his foster family.

Paula, another resident of the Arbors, was very happy to have her birds back. In this photo she is also  babysitting her neighbor's birds. 

Pet Helpers Incorporated will continue to foster several more of The Arbors residents' pets until their owners are able to return home.  We have been told that it may be up to another month before the residents can move back into their apartments. It is a wonderful experience getting to know the pets and their owners. 

       The saying goes that cats have nine lives...  How many did Chloe use while hiding in the Fairmont Arbors building?  Pet Helpers Incorporated, fire fighters, Fairmont Arbors' staff, and members of Chloe's owners  family looked for her for several days, but Chloe was not coming out to see anyone but her MOM (Ms. Nestor).  When the fire happened, Chloe's Mom was in the hospital and there was no sign of Chloe.  After 6 days, Chloe's mom returned home thinking she would never again see her baby.  Ms Nestor was sitting in her living room when Chloe heard her voice and came walking in. It is believed that  she was hiding in a closet (one of her favorite places) and well hidden from all who looked for her. After a good dinner and much TLC, she is doing fine.
